RailNET Timetable Management System
The RailNET Timetable Management System (TMS) provides modules to
generate, manipulate, and test railway and transit timetables in an
off line mode of operation.
The RailNET TMS is available in two editions: the Standard Edition that
generates and manipulates timetables and the Professional Edition that
adds testing capabilities. With both editions, the generated timetables
may be exported in a number of formats for direct import into an online
management system (for example, the
RailNET ATMS, or ATS systems
provided by other vendors). With the Professional Edition of the
RailNET TMS, the generated timetable may be tested under operational
conditions, including failure scenarios, via realistic simulations of the
underlying signalling system and of the movement of trains.
The scheduling / manipulation features of the RailNET TMS include the
following:
 |
multiple in-service entry points and out-of-service exit points, |
 |
multiple turn-around locations, |
 |
destination platform manipulation, |
 |
schedule, trip, and platform time skewing, |
 |
dwell time manipulation, |
 |
travel time manipulation, |
 |
station drive-through, |
 |
trip linking, |
 |
trip insertion and deletion, |
 |
trip activation and deactivation, and |
 |
multiple views of the timetables and schedules. |
The RailNET TMS is a sub-component of the RailNET ATMS but may also
be used in conjunction with train control and supervision systems that
are provided by other vendors.
The RailNET TMS is designed to operate under the Microsoft Windows NT,
Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating systems.
