RailNET Automatic Train Management System
The RailNET Automatic Train Management System (ATMS) provides a
mode of control where all functions relating to the running of trains
are executed automatically. This includes, but is not limited to,
the following functions:

automatic requesting / setting of routes based on timetable
information, |
 |
automatic headway regulation, |
 |
automatic train dispatch |
 |
control and supervision of all signalling / ATP system functionality, |
 |
control and supervision of all ATO functionality, |
 |
operational data management, |
 |
dynamic line mimic diagrams, and |
|
non-vital data communications |
In order to provide the functionality listed above, the RailNET ATMS
incorporates a number of interfaces to existing and / or new equipment
(including systems that are provided by others) as follows:
 |
vital signalling systems such as interlocking and ATP systems,
operating in fixed block or moving block mode, |
 |
non-vital ATO systems, |
 |
platform sign systems, |
 |
information management systems, |
 |
other automatic train supervisory systems (either RailNET systems
or systems provided by others), |
 |
Supervisory Control And Data Acquistion (SCADA) systems, and |
 |
auxiliary systems such as timetable generators and data
logging systems. |
